Homemade Poutine and Pink Cream Soda... I'm becoming more and more Canadian as we speak!

The lovely picture I captured of my district as I was trying to set the timer :D

Here we are again, Transfer Week Already. I can't believe how fast the time is flying!

Bridgewater Alumni
It's been an interesting week, as always. There never seems to be a Not-Interesting week. I guess that is a good thing! Lets see what kind of stories I can scrape together for this week:

Brigewater Alumni
Monday: We really don't do all too much for P-days out here. No real adventures to report. We spent the day taking naps, and cleaning and what not, and then heading out to Amherst to spend the night for the Leadership meeting in Dartmouth the next day.

Tuesday: We got up ridiculously early and traveled from Amherst to Dartmouth for the meeting to start at 9:30 am. The meetings are always good. I really enjoy being able to see all the leaders from around the mission! It's great! And I get to see some old companions, and mission friends. Plus we also get training, so that is super great. The meeting got over at 4:30, we left after supper at about 5:30, and finally made it back home safe and sound in Summerside at about 9:00 pm. It was great!

Wednesday: District meeting in Charlottetown. It ended up being an extended district meeting because of the leadership training the day before, so it was 3 hours instead of the normal 2. That caused the day to be a bit cluttered, and we had to do some thinking on our feet to fix our plans for the day, but it all worked out. We had a lesson fall though on us, so that was a bummer. We had supper with a less active member, and his investigator girl friend, that was fun! The Senior couple from the area came along too, it was pretty fun :)
Look Who I Found at Leadership Meeting

Thursday: It was quite an interesting day. We had a lesson with a potential investigator, and he ended up not so much being a potential. He was a Born Again Christian, who didn't really want to discuss anything, but more tell us that we are saved by grace alone, and there isn't anything else that we need. We can do whatever we want, but as long as we accept Jesus into our hearts, we are saved... He was also talking about how the only part of the bible that applies to us is Paul, because it is written to the Gentiles. But not Hebrews, that's not really Paul writing. It was a crazy lesson. But, later as we were knocking, we came across a really great guy and he became a new investigator, so that's pretty awesome! He is such a sweet guy!

Friday: Weekly planning. Pretty much the same as it is every week. Really not a whole lot of new stuff for Friday... We met with our new investigator again, he is super great!

Saturday: We went out to Alberton. Such a nice little town. We had a meeting with our investigator out there, and she ended up dropping us... She made up her mind that the Book of Mormon isn't true. It was pretty sad.... But, we worked all we could out there, and made the most out of the day.

Sunday: Our investigator came to church! He stayed for all 3 hours, and even came along to the Linger Longer! It was so awesome! He loved it! We ended up having a lesson with him later that night, and he loved it so much! He says he can see himself being a member, he just needs a little while. It's so awesome! I am excited. I guess we also got transfer news on Sunday... Both me and my companion are staying in Summerside, but we aren't companions any more. They are taking out the sisters and putting in another set of Elders, and we are getting split between the new Elders. I'm going to be companions with my MTC companion again, so that is pretty great! I'm excited for that. It's going to be a good transfer!

Well, I guess that's about it for this transfer! I don't have a lot else to add on. Just that I love y'all, and I hope you are doing well! Have a great week!

You can leave welts with marshmallows if you try hard enough

Well Hello, hello!
Getting ready to go play Squash

This week I not only have my planner, but I also remembered to bring my camera, so there are going to be words AND pictures again! How great :D

Yeah, so it's been a pretty great week. Lets see if I can actually remember what happened :P

Monday: We went and played Squash with one of the Young men in the Branch. (I say young men, but he is 18, and Elder, and leaving on a mission in 4 months...) That was pretty great! I enjoyed it. We set up an appointment with an investigator for Monday afternoon, because that is the only time that she could meet, but she ended up standing us up. So we just went about our normal P-day activities. Nothing else overly exciting to report.

Tuesday: We ended up having two lessons with investigators! That's pretty sweet! I know it doesn't sound like a ton, but having two lessons in a day is pretty hard with who we have been working with. So I was pretty pumped! At the end of the day, we met the Zone Leader in Port Elgan and started our exchange. He came home with me, and my companion took his companion back to Moncton.

Wednesday: We had District Meeting in Summerside this week, so there wasn't a whole bunch of travelling to be done. After we tried some potentials, and then we had a lesson with our investigator who is on date for Baptism. She is doing super great! We had a Chips and Dip games night with the Branch that the missionaries had to put together (the missionaries to an event one month and then Relief Society does an event the next month). It went really well! It wasn't overly attended, but it was enjoyable :D That was pretty much our day.

Beginning to look like Spring!
Thursday: Lots of meetings and calls in the morning. Nothing overly exciting. We tried a potential, he really wants to meet with us, but he is super sick (like terminally) and it's hard finding a time to meet with him. We exchanged back in Port Elgan, and then drove back to Summerside. It is pretty awful how often we have crossed the bridge this transfer alone. Adding it up, we have probably spent $225.00 crossing that bridge. It's a good thing I'm not paying for it. That's the beauty of a MacPass. We then had our Young Men's activity. We made Rice Krispy treats, and then had a marshmallow war with PVC pipe. Just so you know, you can leave welts with marshmallows if you try hard enough :P

Friday: Weekly planning, super fun as always... Our plans got changed a lot, so what I have written in my planner is not at all what we ended up doing. We had a dinner appointment written down for the wrong day, so we made all our plans for that, just to find out we were wrong... oops. So, what happened on Friday, the world may never know...

Out on Lennox Island.  All the signs are in Mi' kmaq!
Saturday: We had a pretty great day! We had brunch with the Senior Missionary couple out here. They are super sweet people! Afterwards we went out to Lennonx Island the Native Reservation, and spent all day working out there. And when I say all day, I mean ALL DAY! We didn't eat or anything. We stopped at a Kwick-Way, and got something to drink, but other than that we just kept working. It was so great! We met some awesome people out that way. There is a MAJOR substance abuse problem out that way, so some of the houses we went into were really sketchy (like crack-house status) but the people out there were all super nice, and really humble. We have some return appointments, so back to Lennox it is! I really enjoyed it!

Sunday: I spoke in church about Elder Wilfred Anderson's talk from this last conference, "The Music of the Gospel". It's my favourite, that's why I chose to speak on it. It was okay... You would think that after almost 8.5 months, and 13 district

The Ocean - that is a lighthouse way out there.

trainings given, I would be a better public speaker... I'm not. I'm awful at just getting up in front of people and talking at them. I'm better if I am able to interact, and ask questions... I will never be a politician. Ever. We spent a lot of time this week taking the sacrament to some elderly people in the branch who can't come and take it for themselves. Usually the young men do it, but there were some complications this week, so the duty fell to the missionaries. It was fun though. I enjoyed it.

Yeah, so that's about our week. We haven't done anything super fun yet, so I will let you know if we do in my next letter.

It's starting to warm up! It was 12C today! That's like, super warm!!! Well, 58F, but that is super warm!!!! The snow is melting so fast we have rivers running down the streets! It's crazy, but I'm excited to be warm again! It's funny, now that its warming up, when it dips down again, it feels so much colder! It dipped down to -4C the other night, and I was FREEZING!!!! But, that's okay, we survived!

I hope you are all having a great week! I love you tons

And we get to do it all again next week :P

Hello Hello!

What a week it has been! I know I always say that, but it is always true! It may not seem all too crazy when I write about it, but life is pretty crazy around here. Lets see what happened this week.

Monday: Not a ton happened. Just P-day. We did all of our shopping and what not, and then spent the evening traveling down to Amherst where we spent the night.

Tuesday: Well, we got up at 4:30, so we could travel all morning to get to Dartmouth at 8:00 in time for the Temple Session before the all day leadership meeting. It was pretty good. It's always interesting to put all the leaders from the mission into one room and watch what happened. The tension in the room was almost palpable :P But, there are going to be a lot of good changes happening here in the mission because of that meeting. So that is pretty great. We spent the rest of the evening driving Back to Amherst to pick up my companion, and then driving back to the Island. I hate traveling that much. And we get to do it all again next week :P

Wednesday: District meeting in Montague. It was an interesting meeting. It was extended an extra hour so all the leaders would have time to train on the training that we received at the Leadership Meeting the day before. Change is hard, haha. That fact was reflected on how the training was received :P No, everything went well. Life is good :D

Thursday: It was a rough day. We had an appointment set up with a really solid former from our Area Book, but we were running a few minutes late to our meeting. We showed up and he wasn't there, so we gave him a call. He told us that we weren't on time, so he left, and he is done with people wasting his time and doesn't want to hear from missionaries any more... We messed up a little bit... But, I guess that's the way life goes. We live and learn....

Friday: Weekly planning. Fun as always. We had an awesome lesson with one of our investigators! She is on date for baptism for September 12. It's a ways out, but that is the date that she set and agreed to for herself. So, that's great. We had supper with an awesome family. The whole family are members, except one, and he is investigating, so we will see. He comes to church every week, so that's pretty awesome! They are such a cool family!

Saturday: CONFERENCE!!! Conference was super great! I enjoyed every session of it! We had an investigator come to the 5:00 session, so that is pretty awesome (oh yeah, the sessions here are 1:00-3:00, 5:00-7:00, with the priesthood session at 9:00 going til 11:00... It's a wee bit later than in Utah...)

Sunday: Pretty much the same as Saturday. Conference was great!

So yeah. That's where we are now. We went and played Squash with one of the Young Men from the ward this morning! That was pretty great!

I hope everyone is doing well! Congrats to Janika Jensen on her Mission Call to Omaha Nebraska! That's pretty cool! You and Tara will be comps. one day :D

I love you all!
