those things are HEAVY!

Hey there!
Hey Look! A Crab!
It feels like forever since I have actually sat down and written out a letter for all my fans back home :P (just kidding, you don't have to be fans... just people who love me!)

Let's see if I can think up anything exciting that happened this past week... You would think that after almost 10 months of doing this every week, I would be better at it by now...

Monday: We got voluntold  by the Branch President to go out and help someone move their house. Yes I said move their house. A lot of times instead of moving from one house to another, people will just pick up their house and move it. And I'm not talking trailers, I'm talking houses. People move their houses... We didn't actually help move the house, we spent most of the time there clearing out post-holes, and putting in poles for the house to sit on (I'm not talking like little poles, I mean cut off telephone-poles, those things are HEAVY!) After we had finished that up, we decided to use what we had left of Pday and go to the beach! We walked out to that light house that I sent pictures of a couple of weeks ago! We actually made it this time! The tide was out just enough that we were able to walk all the way out there, and we found a bunch of new sea creature friends as well! That was pretty much our Pday...
Our new friend (It's a baby eel!)

Tuesday: Not a whole lot to report for Tuesday. We had a lot of cancellations, or people who didn't show up, so that was kind of a bummer... But, I guess that's the way life goes sometimes. We did some tracting, and all that missionary jazz.
And a little shrimp that we found!

Wednesday: District meeting in Charlottetown. It was pretty great. I always enjoy district meetings. While we were down in the area, we stopped in at Dairy Queen (They don't have them in Summerside... Just Charlottetown), and my companion and one of the other Elders used their mission birthday cards to buy Icecream cake that we took and enjoyed with the other missionaries. It was a District Meeting/Birthday Party! Not too much exciting happened other than that.

Thursday: My companions Birthday! We weren't able to really do a lot for his birthday, it being a work day and everything, but we did go over to the other elders apartment for home-made Donair (Dad, if we ever come back to Canada after the mission, I will have to get you some Donair, you would love it!) Welcome to mission birthdays, not a whole lot happens... We had a couple of lessons cancel on us again, so that was a bummer.... That was pretty much our day.

The rock bridge out to the lighthouse opened up a ton since last week!
Friday: Weekly Planning. Other than that it was a pretty normal work day. We went and did service at the Library like we do every week. Nothing new there. Our lesson cancelled on us again... But she made a solid promise to be at church on Sunday, so that's pretty awesome! (*Spoiler alert* : She actually came!)  We met with a member in the evening. She is pretty great! Solid testimony! That was about our whole Friday...

Saturday: We worked all day. Literally all day. That's all we did. We worked. It was a pretty solid day. We talked to a lot of people, so that's pretty great.

Sunday: Between us and the other Elders in the area, there were three investigators at church! It was so awesome! Everyone actually showed up like they said they would, and it was great! One Sister who served here a while ago came back to visit (I knew here because we served together in Sackville). Her and her Mom became pretty good friends with our investigator... Now we just have to make them move here! Other than that, it was a pretty normal day... Nothing all too new to report. We found a couple of potential investigators while we were out street contacting on the board walk, so that was pretty great!
Licking a giant snail that I found!

Yeah, so that's my week. Pretty exciting, right? I don't know what we are doing for Pday today, but you will probably get pictures of it next week, so stay tuned!

I love you all so much, and I hope everything is going well. Enjoy your summer! The kids here still have another month of school before they get out, so enjoy!

Love you tons!

There's the lighthouse!

The boards are not all to sturdy... No wonder it's abandoned... This place is sketchy!

Yay lighthouse

There's Summerside :D

Lots of pictures and a few words!

The Same pile of snow that used to be my Facebook picture

So, We got called in for a last minute service project, so I don't have time to write up a big email this week... But I will send all of my pictures. I everyone is doing well! I am doing super great! Life is good! It's hot here, we had our first 22C day, which meant NO SUIT JACKETS!!! It was so awesome! I loved it! I got my first sunburn of the season, with more to come probably... Who needs sunscreen? Not this Elder! I love y'all so much! Have a fantastic week!

Welcome to Canada

Just hanging out in the middle of the Ocean... Don't mind us. (This is a little bridge out to a light house, so we are actually in the middle of the ocean... But not swimming :D)

But eventually we will hunt them down!

Alright, so I am actually going to do my big letter first this week, so maybe I might have some time to write things down! There's a thought :P
There we go - that's more like it!
Here we are in almost the middle of May... That's pretty crazy! But, good news! The snow is gone, and it got up to like 18c the other day, so that's pretty great! You can kinda feel springtime in the air! Let's see if I can think up any wacky adventures for this week (probably not...)
Haircut Selfie
(Note to Missionary Moms - Don't ask for selfices of your
missionary NOT puffing out his cheeks - you will
NEVER get one!)

Monday: Yay Pday! Thrift shopping! Y'all saw the green suit that I bought that week, so that was my big purchase for the week! A whole $5.00. I'm a splurger :P That's was about it for Pday. Later on we had a lesson with a recent convert, and then we had supper at a members house. Super exciting stuff :P

Tuesday: It was an interesting day on Tuesday. President Leavitt came and did inspections/interviews, and we didn't know he was coming until Monday evening, so it was kinda a weird rush to plan in him coming and try to move around our plans for the day. But it all worked out, and we got to have a nice chat with President and Sister Leavitt, so that was pretty nice. The rest of the day was pretty uneventful. We spent a lot of time trying to get in contact with the investigators that the sisters left us. I think they are avoiding us now.. That's not good. But eventually we will hunt them down!
Total price of all the suite in this picture? $15

Wednesday: District meeting in Charlottetown! It was a great meeting, very spiritual! I enjoyed it a lot. Afterwards, we came back into Summerside, and again tried to hunt down these investigators. No luck. We had a lesson with one of the other Elders investigators (We found him while Elder B. and I were together, so we are sharing teaching him) and that went pretty well. After we went out to Borden for supper at another members place. Lots of exciting things!

Thursday:  We spent a lot of the day trying to get in touch with some potential investigators. Not too many of them were actually interested any more, which is pretty sad. It's sad to see when people are interested, and then nobody goes back to talk to them, or try's back for so long that they just go cold... It's a sad thing. We had a Young Men's activity. We are helping the Young Men with Family History because there is a family temple trip coming up in June, and we are trying to have every take their own name to the temple! It's a slow process.

Friday: Weekly planning. We had a lesson set up with an investigator (Another one that we are sharing with the other Elders), but it fell though. I haven't seen her in so long! It worries me a little bit, whenever I am supposed to come over the appointments get cancelled, but anyone else she keeps it... Maybe it's just me :P Lot's of contacting, and all that crazy missionary junk.

Saturday: We spent a good chunk of the day out in Kensington. We ended up talking to a bunch of people, which was great, but not to many (0) were actually interested, which is not a good thing... We will find people! I have faith! We took a little time in the evening to prepare for the church lessons we were teaching the next day.

Sunday: HAPPY MOTHERS DAY! Yay Mothers! Mothers are cool! Hurrah! Yippie! Yeah, mothers day was pretty great! Church was fun. The Primary kids sang a song, and none of them knew the words, so it was super awkward, and I loved it! Haha! I taught Gospel Principles, that was interesting. Teaching the Lesson on Exaltation is always super weird... And then having a rabble-rouser in the class makes is a wee bit harder, but Se La-Vie. We then taught Singing Time for Primary.... I really hope I am never a primary teacher.. My patience is not that strong. But it was fun, and we played some games, and learned some songs. And then the fun part of the day. Skyping home! It was so great to see the whole family, including Alexa! I enjoyed it a ton! My family is so crazy! But I love them anyway :D
Mustache Family Portrait

I think that is about it for my week. We are going to try to walk out to a light house and fly kites over the ocean today, I will let you know how that works out!

I love you all so much! Have a fantastic week!

May The Fourth be with you

May the Fourth Be With You
(they are light sabers)
Okay, so I guess I should probably get around to writing my big letter before I am all out of computer time, haha! I get distracted pretty easily, so I totally forgot that I was supposed to be writing one of these!

Lets see if I can think up what I did this week, it's all one big blur to me now, so I'll see what I can do...
I found a party hat

Monday: We actually went out and did something for Pday this week! My companion and I went bowling with the other set of Elders in the area. We all went in our suits, so it was pretty much a sight to see. Also, we all suck at bowling, so it was pretty great! I think one of us actually broke 100 one of the games we played! That's about it. We spent the rest of the evening shopping and doing that kind of crazy missionary stuff.
I found more party hats

Tuesday: We spent almost all day trying to get in contact with the investigators that the Sisters left for us... Nobody wants to talk to us... It's been a little tough trying to contact everyone. They all seemed to have vanished off the face of the earth... Maybe they will show up again after we harass them a little bit. If there is something I've gotten good at on my mission, it's harassing people!

Wednesday: Zone Training in Moncton. We got to leave the Island to go down to Moncton, New Brunswick. It was a great meeting. We focused a lot on The Book of Mormon. I enjoyed it. After the meeting, I stayed in Moncton with the Zone Leader, and kicked my Companion back to Summerside with the other Elder. Moncton is a nice area. Lot of interesting people there! My first actual days spent in New Brunswick! The Zone Leader lives in an apartment with another set of Elders who serve in Dieppe, the French area. French missionaries are HILARIOUS! I loved it!
Elder S likes Party Hats too!
Thursday: Another day in Moncton. Lots of finding, and trying to find. I got to meet some of the members out there. It was a pretty good time.

Friday: Back to Summerside. Weekly Planning. We started doing service at the local Library, basically we just organize shelves. It's not all that interesting.  We had a lesson with one of the investigators that we are team-teaching with the other Elders. He is such a great guy! Getting baptized on June 20!

Saturday: Pretty much your average missionary day. Lots of finding. Lots of talking to people. We found an awesome family that we are going to be going back to visit, so that's pretty great! I'm excited to start working with them! Other than that, nothing too exciting...
The District

Sunday: Church! We spent a lot of time after church going and giving the sacrament to those who couldn't come out. Great people. We go and give the Sacrament to one old lady in a nursing home, and someone heard us singing to her afterwards, so we got asked to come out into the main lobby and sing for the group of old people out there. It was pretty great, we are superstars now :P We had supper with the Branch President and his family, they are super sweet people. Later that evening we watched the World Wide Devotional with them. It's crazy how late 10:00 pm feels now. I'm such an old man! But, I guess that's just how the mission works

Yes, My purchase was a green suit! It Fits!
It was only $5 and I couldn't pass it up!
I think that's about it for this week. I made an awesome purchase at Salvation Army today, and I'll have to send you a picture!

I love you all so much! Don't do stupid things!

Hockey hockey, Moose moose, Maple leaf, Sorry about that, eh?
